Let your imagination take flight supporting the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD). Looking to find work that stimulates your mind, challenges your skills, and satisfies your curiosity? MIL currently holds several multi-year contracts with NAWCAD in the areas of Cyber, C5ISR, and Information Technology systems.

The MIL Corporation is seeking a Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer to support a federal government client in Fayetteville, NC and San Diego, CA. The RF engineer will provide Special Operations Forces (SOF) engineering support to United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), the Naval Special Warfare Center (NSWC) and US Army Special Operations Command (USASOC).

Responsibilites
  • Provide SOF RF engineering support to USSOCOM and other Special Operations elements.
  • Perform technical SOF RF engineering related tasks.
  • Formulate and design SOF RF engineering specifications.
  • Caputure, refine, and develop requirements related to tactical RF systems.
  • Develop and deliver consistent, high quality SOF RF engineering related services and products.
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change.
  • Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative solutions.
  • Prepare and present oral and written reports defining plans, problems, and resolutions to appropriate levels of management.

Required Qualifications
  • Experience working with High Frequency (HF), Very High Frequency (VHF), Ultra High Frequency, UJF radios, Tactical Satellite (TACSAT), Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) up to 2.4m, modems, Radio Over Internet Protocol (ROIP), test tools including multimeters, cryptographic keys and loading devices, basic Alternating Current/Direct Current (AC/DC) power.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in applications and integration of engineering principles to analyze, plan, design, and develop radio systems especially as it applies to SOF communications systems.
  • Must be able to execute complex tasking.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 50%.
  • Excellent with SOF radio technologies.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with networking protocols and equipment.
  • Network+ or CCNA certification.
  • Knowledge and experience with Android Tactical Assault Kit (ATAK).
  • Experience as a Special Operations communicator.
