Summary
The MIL Corporation seeks a number of Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) Test Engineers to support a Federal Government client at our Southern Maryland location. The EO/IR Test Engineer will utilize knowledge of commercial & military EO/IR systems to conduct design, development and testing of electrical systems and sensors. The selected candidate will work within a test and evaluation team for a variety of Federal Government related programs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct EO/IR requirements definition, design, modeling, analysis and testing of EO/IR systems and components for a variety of military/commercial applications
- Apply general engineering principles to research, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, and/or evaluate systems
- Lead development of test procedures, and instrumentation to collect required data within test plan constraints
- Develop and execute performance verification testing of EO/IR systems, working with unique test facilities and equipment
- Provide engineering expertise in EO/IR sensors and systems in the areas of system design and integration
- Develop advanced concepts, techniques, and standards for active optical systems
- Review and prepare engineering and technical analysis, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation
- Develop and utilize data processing tools to perform data analysis and provide data to customers
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accredited course of study, ABET preferred
- 5 years professional engineering experience conducting electrical system design, development, and testing
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
Clearance
