Specialized Experience: Applicants must have 52 weeks of experience at the next lower level, which is GS-14 or equivalent level in other pay systems and includes the performance of assignments that involve planning and directing human capital programs and programs in all of the following functional areas: (1) human resource management; (2) human resource development (learning management); (3) executive talent management.
Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
There is no substitution of education for experience at this grade level.

Other Position Requirements:Position has been designated as Non-critical Sensitive. Incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
The incumbent of this position is required to submit to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment and is subject to random drug testing for the duration of service with the DoD OIG. Current DoD civilian employees are not required to submit to drug testing if moving from one Testing Designated Position (TDP) to another with no break in service, unless deemed appropriate on a case-by-case basis.
If you have not previously successfully completed a probationary period with the federal government in a similar position, you will be required to serve a two-year probationary period. You may be required to serve 1-Year Supervisory Probationary Period.
All qualifications and time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
