Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) processing cash receipts, answering voicemail and e-mail requests, filling out W-9’s and vendor forms, making delinquent calls, and assisting staff in the department with data entry and other administrative tasks.
The ideal candidate is a fast learner, possesses solid Microsoft Office skills, is quick and accurate at data entry, and pays close attention to details. Additionally, the Accounting Assistant must have good customer service skills and can respond to e-mails and phone calls in a polite and professional manner. Some college coursework and prior office experience is preferred.
The schedule is somewhat flexible but requires about 15-20 hours a week. This is a great opportunity to learn some basic accounting and bookkeeping skills while working in a collegial and professional environment.
Interested candidates should send a cover letter and resume to email@example.com with “Accounting Assistant” in the subject heading. No phone calls, please.
