Requirements

The Laboratory Research Coordinator is an essential element in establishing the new lab for Ella Striem-Amit. S/he entails aspects of management such as purchasing and maintaining lab equipment and managing data storage. Reporting to the Assistant Professor, the Laboratory Research Coordinator has additional duties that include but are not limited to:
  • Recruits and interacts with study participants.
  • Runs experiments in the lab (behavioral, fMRI, online behavioral experiments).
  • Handles participant reimbursements, uploading and organizing data.
  • Manages IRB documentation, reviews, and data storage.
  • Purchases and maintains lab equipment (including fmri equipment, lab computers, and lab accounts on software).
  • Carries out independent research projects, including experiment design, analysis, and communication, including creating stimuli and experimental protocols, collecting and analyzing data, writing up results for publication, and presenting findings at conferences.
  • Assists with the research projects of students and postdocs.
  • Assists with coordinating lab meetings, conference trips and visits.
  • Interacts with outside vendors and maintains the laboratory records and website.
  • Assists in writing grant applications and reports.


Qualifications
  • BA/BS in Neuroscience, Psychology, Cognitive Science, Computer Science or related scientific field
  • Experience with scientific computing (Matlab, Python, or R)
  • Ability to solve technical problems independently with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Some prior research experience
  • Experience with fMRI analyses preferred
