The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing and maintaining the daily HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with other members of the HR team supporting the overall mission of the organization. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: onboarding, benefits administration, employee wellness,HRIS, recruitment/employment, and employment law compliance and audits. The HR Generalist works closely with interdisciplinary and diverse teams to manage volunteer and student programs.

Work Schedule:

Oversees on-boarding and orientation for new team members; Participates in development of new ideas and practices in new hire onboarding. Modifies program as needed.

Performs periodic audits to ensure accreditation readiness

Provides daily support through collaboration to leadership, employees, volunteers and students seeking assistance

Provide recommendations and support to leadership team in managing performance, including coaching, counseling and partnership on performance plan development.

Oversees the volunteer and student program; facilitates and develops new ideas and practices to build on the program to support strategic initiatives

Helps in the design and deployment of training

Assists in planning and development of activities which enhance the employee experience

Utilizes data to make recommendations for improvement in key functional HR areas supported
