Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

We are currently looking for Certified Registered Nurse Practitioners with a specialty in Psychiatry to join our Lantern team in our Southern Maryland office. The chosen candidates will work with an interdisciplinary outpatient team in the delivery of comprehensive mental health services to clients of all ages. The best candidates will possess the following:

• Board Certified PMHNP, CRNP/PMH, APRN/PMH  
• Current valid state medical license
• Current valid DEA and Maryland CDS
• Master of Science in Nursing/ PMHNP
• Ability to pass State and FBI background check
• Ability to effectively collaborate with the Child Psychiatrist/Medical Director and other disciplines
• Ability to demonstrate understanding of a variety of models and theories of addiction, mental illness, and related issues

• Knowledge of philosophies, practices, policies and outcomes of models of treatment recovery, relapse prevention, and continuing care for dual diagnosed populations
• Able to conduct patient education, therapy sessions, psychiatric evaluation, medication management
• Ability to master the electronic medical record documentation procedures for a timely, accurate and comprehensive mental health note
• Excellent interpersonal skills that will promote excellent provider-patient interaction
• Ability to provide culturally sensitive care
