Perspecta is an AA/EEO Employer - Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled and other protected categories Responsibilities Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Determine customer analysis requirements while defining project scope and managing analytical product deliverable schedules - Support systems engineering technical exchanges and meetings - Develop analysis reports and briefings to present to varying levels of government customers - Analyze detailed system requirements and specifications for large, distributed architectures - Translate satellite technical data information into model parameters for a complex, bespoke orbital modeling program - Apply knowledge of orbital mechanics, aerospace and physics to model technical parameters of satellites; validate models as part of a small team - Operate and modify software within a Unix platform workspace - Apply a working knowledge of SAS, R, Python or other data modeling languages to modify or develop pre- and post-processing sequences for satellite performance modeling - Query large relational data sets using Transactional SQL, applying intermediate concepts such as primary / foreign keying and joining to derive meaningful conclusions regarding performance of intelligence systems - Perform Modeling & Simulation to determine mission impacts of near and long term future enterprise capabilities spanning the entire tasking, collection, processing, exploitation and dissemination (TCPED) cycle for providing geospatial information support - Lead the development of predictive analysis to determine future data trends and assess potential chokepoints and system performance issues while evaluating key performance indicators - Coordinate future acquisition and development activities to enable the modeling and simulation of the to-be capability state Qualifications Required Qualifications: - Active TS/SCI Clearance - Bachelors or Masters degree in engineering (aerospace, mechanical, electrical, software), physics, mathematics, or similar technical discipline , with 8+ years of domain experience - 16+ years of experience with systems analysis, modeling and performance analysis or related experience with a minimum of 10 years recent agency specific experience - Intermediate to advanced knowledge of orbital mechanics, aerospace and physics in the context of satellite operation and remote sensing. - In depth experience in remote sensing collection performance; detailed understanding of end-to-end Satellite engineering - Experience with modeling, simulation and analysis through application of SAS, R, Python or other data modeling languages, T-SQL or other relational query languages, and Unix-based tools and applications - Ability to interpret requirements, specifications and CONOPs documents - Demonstrated experience in leading or performing data analytics and assessments, projects and/or studies - Excellent analytical and problem solving skills; experience using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative technical solutions or approaches to problems - Excellent presentation and communication skills - Demonstrate ability to clearly explain technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences; Excellent oral presentation and writing skills - Ability to work independently or within a team environment Desired Qualifications: - Working knowledge of intelligence community satellite engineering, remote sensing and/or geospatial programs - Experience developing visualizations in ArcGIS to synthesize synthetic and known geospatial data, for modeling purposes - Experience applying FORTRAN and C languages in the development of large-scale modeling and simulation software applications - Experience in multi-INT analysis and demonstrations Options
