Perspecta is an AA/EEO Employer - Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled and other protected categories Responsibilities Provide System Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) to identify, develop, analyze, evaluate, mature and transition technologies to satisfy emerging requirements and deliver revolutionary communication capabilities in support of Government objectives. Engage with user to identify unsatisfied emerging needs and requirements. Remain cognizant in all aspects of design, manufacture, technology development, and Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of space and ground communication systems technologies including RF and optics designs, antenna, network protocols, waveform design, and security. Evaluate emerging needs and define options for technical solutions or concepts to deliver capability to satisfy needs. Identify technologies that can be adopted or adapted to meet specific needs. Define Research and Development (R&D) projects to discover or mature technologies. Assess technical and programmatic risk associated with proposed approach. Collaborate with acquisition experts to define R&D objectives, requirements, desired outcomes, plans and schedules, and technology transition targets. Evaluate R&D contractor proposals and technical feasibility and provide recommendations for contract awards. Create and update technology roadmaps showing all R&D projects, dependencies, expected TRL, and transition on/off-ramps to deliver a capability. Analyze and evaluate R&D contractor development assessing progress of development and maturation of technology. Provide recommendations to continue, re-plan or discontinue R&D projects. Participate in the evaluation of technology readiness and provide recommendations to transition technology. Support the Government in the integration, test and transition of technologies to user. Support Government staff in the planning, coordination and day-to-day management and oversight of development efforts. Qualifications Bachelor's with 12 - 15 years of experience or a Master's with 10 - 13 years of experience or a Ph.D. with 10+ years of experience Recognized expert within the Company, who designs, researches and develops highly advanced technologies resulting in new product/business opportunities for the Company Leads efforts to capture new business through technical work and capability briefings. Excellent written and oral communication skills Capable of presenting highly complex information to senior government officials. TS/SCI with polygraph Options
