Perspecta is an AA/EEO Employer - Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled and other protected categories Responsibilities Description: The program has a need for an Image Quality Engineer to support image quality / product quality assessments throughout all phases of system development to include operations, independent verification, validation, and test for major transition efforts and provide product quality readiness recommendations and technical decisions on image quality. Reporting directly to the Systems Engineering Manager, the Image Quality Engineer is accountable for evaluating and recommending the suitability of new and emerging mission products for use in data analysis and exploitation. Responsibilities Include: Perform image quality studies Provide insight into all components of the imaging chain from energy detection to image processing, radiometric calibration, and geometric collection Analyze test data Measure performance against requirements using standard Digital Image processing techniques and tools Write engineering scripts to automate workflows Lead or participate enterprise efforts to resolve image quality anomalies and discrepancies Identify system impacts and provide recommendations on product quality Generate assessment reports Prepare and present status briefings to program and customer leadership Qualifications Required Qualifications: Active TS/SCI Clearance Bachelors degree in CS / Science / Engineering or related technical experience 6+ years of systems engineering, systems integration or systems /software development experience 1+ years of experience with IC or DoD engineering Demonstrated ability with multiple data collection techniques and an in-depth understanding of imaging phenomenology Demonstrated ability to explain technical issues clearly/accurately to technical/non-technical audiences Demonstrated ability to establish effective customer relationships with senior level government personnel; ability to work independently and within a team environment Self-starter and able to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities Strong interpersonal, problem solving, organizational and multi-tasking skills Excellent written/verbal communications, technical/non-technical presentation skills Desired Qualifications: Advanced degree or certification in a technical field 2+ years experience in image quality assessment and analysis Familiarity with commercial visualization tools, such as RemoteView, ENVI, MATLAB, and SOCET GXP Options
