Perspecta is an AA/EEO Employer - Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled and other protected categories Responsibilities Summary: Responsible for providing analytical, database, and training and testing support to the Army Aviation Sample Data Collection (SDC) program. Performs database management and cleanup, processes raw and reviewed data, develops and recommends process improvements, creates reports and presentations, creates and manages the SDC training and certification program, and interfaces with the data collection team to ensure PWS requirements are achieved. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Includes the following: Manages the raw and reviewed SDC aviation databases. Develops computer systems specifications that address business requirements and that fit within the organization's system architecture standards. Establishes and documents system parameters and formats, ensures hardware and software systems compatibility and coordinates and/or modifies system parameters in terms of existing and projected computer capacity and capabilities. Revises existing systems and procedures to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling, conversion, input/output requirements, and storage. Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations. Analyzes and documents problem, recommends solution, and initiates corrective actions. Performs historical database content analysis and provides management with recommendations to improve data accuracy. Writes queries to create reports for management and system users. Develops recommendations to improve data collection team accuracy, productivity, and timeliness of delivery. Performs functional testing of the aviation data review application. Provides end-user support regarding aviation application validations, verifications and functional use. Supports management with data quality assurance checks, equipment inductions, reports, presentations or other functions, as needed. Assists in updating and maintaining the SDC Program Field Monitors Guide (FMG). Develops and manages a training and certification program based on the SDC FMG. Assists in conducting SDC team training and certification. Performs other duties as required to accomplish the SDC mission. Qualifications Qualifications, Education and / or Experience: BS degree in computer science, business, logistics management, or related field. Five 5 years minimum experience with data collection, database management, and or data review applications. Experience with Army aviation maintenance and operations are desired, but not required. Strong skills with using Microsoft SQL Server, Access, Excel, Powerpoint, Word and Outlook applications. Experience with web-based training and certification applications to include Adobe Captivate or similar products. Excellent writing and presentation skills. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Must have the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete and nonconcrete variables in standardized and nonstandardized situations.
