  • EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: (OPM Operating Manual, Qualification Standards for Administrative and Management Positions, GS-0301).

    GS-15: I have at least 1 year of specialized experience or the equivalent, comparable to at least the GS-14 in the Federal Service (obtained in either the public or private sector). Specialized experience in providing supervision in the form of advice, counsel and/or instruction to employees on work matters and completion of assignments within their assigned program areas; identify developmental and training needs of employees and make recommendations for specific developmental training assignments; participate in congressional budget hearings and provide testimony in support of program and budget requests; plan, develop, and carry out broad and extensive assignments; provide executive leadership to develop, manage, and protect Indian trust rights and resources nationwide; responsible for human capital management, acquisition, budget management, financial management, planning, coordinating and evaluating a wide variety of program services for Trust Services; provide oversight for planning, monitoring, and allocating organizational resources for respective program operations and making the necessary changes or adjustments in the programs and in their implementation to ensure maximum effectiveness, efficiency, and economy of program operations.

    The full performance level of this position is GS-15.

    This is a supervisory position. Under provision of the Civil Service Reform Act, first-time supervisors are required to serve a one year supervisory probationary period before their appointment becomes final. Those who do not satisfactorily complete this probationary period will be returned to positions of no lower grade and pay than those they occupied before assuming their supervisory assignment.

    TELEWORK: Indian Affairs has determined that the duties of the position are suitable for telework and the selectee may be allowed to telework with supervisor approval.

    You will be required to operate a government-owned or leased motor vehicle in the performance of duties, therefore, a valid driver's license is required.
