Executive Assistant and Office Manager, Law and Economics Center
Entrepreneurial academic center is seeking an organized, high-energy, flexible self-starter for our Executive Assistant/Office Manager
in Arlington, VA. The ideal candidate will quickly contribute to the smooth functioning of the center and support the Executive Director's fundraising and academic activities. The Executive Assistant/Office Manager will be an experienced office manager with the ability to identify organizational needs and work quickly and efficiently to meet them. In addition to supporting the Executive Director's activities, this individual will be responsible for managing the front desk, greeting visitors, answering the center general email and phone lines; managing center facilities and acting as center liaison for university services, including but not limited to telecom, human resources, and computer services. This individual will also be responsible for processing expense reimbursements and invoices. Required Qualifications: * A bachelors' degree or equivalent experience and 2 years previous experience in office management or as an executive assistant is preferred. * The ideal candidate will have strong writing, organizational, and computer skills; excellent interpersonal skills; flexibility and the ability to prioritize tasks from multiple sources; project coordination experience, and the skills to professionally work with all levels of management, staff, outside clients, and vendors. The Law & Economics Center of the George Mason University's Law School is a national center for research and education that focuses on the timely and relevant economic analysis of legal and public policy issues. To fulfill its education mission, the LEC provides dynamic training programs in law and economics on an international basis to sophisticated audiences including judges, attorneys general, Congressional staff and academics.
