The American Association of Community Colleges’ (AACC) Advanced Technological Education (ATE) project aims to strengthen and advance the community college role in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education. 

The Project Assistant will work three days/week to provide administrative support to the ATE project and serve as a key member of the unit to further the project’s goals. Duties include participating in the planning and implementation of project-related meetings and conferences, working closely with consultants and team members on the logistics for the National ATE Principle Investigators’ Conference and other ATE-related meetings, coordinating student programming and activities for the National ATE Principle Investigator’s Conference, and serving as the point of contact for new ATE grantees.  Duties also include working with the Communications department to update and maintain the ATE web site and coordinating the production & dissemination of ATE-related publications.  The Project Assistant will also manage files and database information, reconcile expenses, and maintain the project calendar for developing timetables for major events.  This is a grant-funded position.

Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience, plus one to three years of work experience demonstrating knowledge of general administrative tasks and technical proficiency (Microsoft Office, Cvent experience is a plus).  Must have strong verbal and written communications skills, ability to multitask, strong attention to detail, event coordination skills, and ability to work collegially with diverse groups and as part of a team.
