You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. Employee shall obtain and maintain the proper Cyber Workforce certification for the Cyber position as required in the DoD 8570.1-M.

This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field of Information Technology Level III Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.

This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

This is an Information Assurance Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for certification in Information Assurance Technology (IAM-I) within 6 months or less of entrance on duty.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Administering cybersecurity plans and programs (e.g., developing cybersecurity policy, participating in government-wide committees to develop best practices, identifying cyber threats, risk analysis, preparing for cybersecurity inspections, evaluating security controls, overseeing internal departments and subordinate commands) to ensure compliance within the DoD Cybersecurity program.

Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.

1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Ensuring complete and accurate data is collected/reported.

2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. 3. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Providing policy guidance to cyber management, staff, and users.

4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Performing needs analysis to determine opportunities for new and improved business process solutions.
