- U.S. Citizenship.

- Satisfactory completion of a background investigation.
- Completion of a probationary period.
- Selectee must be able to meet and maintain suitability and security requirements.
- Fluency or demonstrated proficiency in a foreign language, preferably a South Asian language.
Advanced degree at a minimum (candidates with an undergraduate degree only will not be considered).
