ZAI has an immediate need for a HR Manager to work at our corporate office located in Fairfax, VA. The qualified candidate will partner with me as the Director of Human Resources to provide guidance, support and coordination in the consistent and effective application of our company policies, procedures and employment practices. The HR Manager we seek will rely on their skills, experiences and sound judgment to assist the Director of HR in planning and accomplishing all HR-related department goals.Duties and Responsibilities for this position will include:Managing and effectively responding to employee-related issues and concerns with sensitivity and confidentiality, including medical leaves, performance, development, disciplinary actions, workplace, disputes, and workplace investigations.Overseeing the administration of all company benefits offerings.Assisting in the facilitation of the Annual Open Enrollments of benefits.Interfacing as necessary with benefit brokersReviewing and approving annual performance evaluations.Assisting the Director of HR with the development of performance documentation, including written warnings, performance improvement plans et. al., disciplinary notifications.Managing FMLA, STD, LTD, Worker's Comp. and Unemployment Benefits.Preparing and filing mandatory government reports - AA/EEO-1/Vets/OSHA/Virginia New Hire, etc.Assisting the Director of HR with the development and/or review of company policies and proceduresAssisting and/or leading in the facilitation of company and government required training's - New Hire Orientation and Briefings; Sexual Harassment, ADA, et. al. .Reviewing and auditing of employee benefit enrollmentsAssisting with recruitment activities, including using Taleo to post, edit and close requisitions; source and/or interview candidates upon request and assist with Open Houses as necessaryServing as back-up support to the Director of HR as neededPreparing and disseminating involuntary termination lettersResponsible for being an active, productive, collaborative member of the team.Contributing regularly to company newsletterAssists with compensation administration, including bonuses and merit increases.Other responsibilities as needed. Desired Experience and Skills * Solid working knowledge of HR policies, and federal/state legislation related to employment practices and general HR administration. * Experience with CostPoint, Taleo, and COGNOS * Inclusive management style; advocate of working as a team player; and a good player coach.. * Demonstrated experience with managing and coaching on employee-related issues, including performance, development and disciplinary actions * Demonstrated experience conducting workplace investigations Excellent written and verbal communications Experience with E-Verify * Ability to multi-task and be comfortable and flexible working in a busy and changing environment. * Prior experience working in a government contracting environment with an understanding of the Service Contract Act (SCA). * Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite of Products, including excel, Word, Outlook and Internet Explorer. Education Bachelor's Degree and 7+ years of relatable HR experience.
