The Concierge/Front Desk serves as the first point of contact for visitors to the community, as well as assisting residents with their needs. In this role you also protect The Charleston Senior Community Values by keeping residents information confidential. The concierge will also answer incoming calls in a cheerful way; determine purpose of callers and forward calls to appropriate personnel or department. Retrieve messages from voicemail and forward to appropriate personnel. Take and delivers messages, or transfers calls to the appropriate voicemail if personnel is unavailable (when transferring, waits for other party to answer to let them know who is on the call before hanging up). Answer general questions about the community and provides callers with address, directions, and other information; refers specific questions to appropriate staff. Welcomes on-site visitors, determines nature of business, and announces visitors to appropriate personnel. Receive, sort, and routes mail to appropriate personnel. Distributes written communication, accepts and signs for deliveries. To be qualified for this job you must provide: Resume (with three professional references including contact information) CPR & First Aid Cards Tuberculosis Test (PPD, lab results, or chest x-ray) MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) Immunization Record* Varicella (Chicken Pox) Immunization Record* *Original Immunization Record is acceptable as long as these vaccines are specifically listed. Should these specific immunizations not be listed you need to have lab results showing the immunity. Position Requirements Qualifications: High School Diploma or Equivalent. Current CPR, First Aid certifications. Health Clearance (TB, MMR, Varicella). Criminal Background Clearance Reliable Transportation Position Hours: The Community is required to operate 24 hours per day, 7 days per Week. Shifts may vary based on the needs of the Community. Overtime hours with little or no notice, may be required if deemed necessary by the reporting supervisor. Experience: 1 Year working in a healthcare facility preferred (in Assisted Living). Travel: Less than 2% Physical Demands: Required to walk, reach, climb, bend, stoop, lift, grasp, balance, push, and pull equipment on a sporadic basis. The employee must be able to lift, push, and/or move up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance. Attitude: An assertive, high energy personality combined with an empathetic outlook and a drive to succeed will be essential to do well in this position.
