DescriptionJob Description: Allworx Sales Engineer This is a remote opportunity Reporting to the Senior Manager Business Development,the Allworx Sales Engineering position is a territory based job supporting the Allworx Authorized dealer network in the territory or territories assigned. The position requires the individual to travel the multi state territory and conduct formal technical training sessions for technicians and technical personnel. In addition to technical training the Sales Engineer assists the dealer network with sales demos; training on the Allworx web portal, and gets involved in assisting in quoting and configuring large sales opportunities within the territory. The Sales Engineer works closely with the Channel Manager or Managers for the area assigned to recruit new resellers and to assist existing resellers to grow sales. The position requires the ability to effectively present the Allworx product to resellers considering signing on as Allworx Partners, as well as end users considering the purchase of an Allworx solution. Therefore, the Sales Engineer is often presenting to C level management and IT staff at end user prospects. Training and support is also provided for Windstream sales efforts within the territory. The position also requires working with, and close coordination with, the Allworx Technical Support group to resolve technical issues with resellers and end customers that may exist within the Territory. Allworx sales engineers also are asked to provide continuous feedback and product enhancement suggestions to the Allworx R&D and Management teams for development or consideration for development. The Sales Engineer is often called upon to assist in both Pre-Sales and Post-Sales system and network design and must manage their time closely between training, sales support, providing technical expertise, and problem resolution, in a manner that enhances the overall sales growth of the territory and enables the team to meet or exceed established sales quotas. QualificationsMinimum Requirements: BA/BS (MIS, Engineering, Communications) Experience: A minimum of 5 years data networking and/or PBX/Key System experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess a track record of success in selling/supporting voice/data products through voice/data dealers in a quota-based environment Desired Qualifications: Familiarity and expertise in dealing with the technology of VoIP based telephony hardware, networks and software products. A well-rounded background in Data Networking, Telephony, and VoIP/SIP. Solid background in Routing, Switching, IP, VoIP, QoS, Security (Firewalls, VPN, etc.) is required. Ability to understand complex technical and selling situations with the ability to solve the problem or solicit the required resources. Competitive knowledge of VoIP products including solution, technology and product offerings.
