IPA is a global company with offices in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Brazil and Singapore. We are looking for a Project Analyst to join our team in North America. As a Project Analyst you will be responsible for interfacing directly with IPA clients to evaluate their projects using IPA's suite of metrics for project practices and performance, and to identify risks using analysis and applied research. Major responsibilities include working with clients to identify Best Practices to improve their business competitiveness by collecting and analyzing project data, interviewing project personnel and relevant stakeholders, writing reports, and developing and delivering presentations. Key Responsibilities: Advise/consult clients in the oil and gas industries on Best Practices to improve their business competitiveness Assess client projects, organizations, teams, work processes, etc. and identify opportunities for improvement Interview project personnel and relevant stakeholders to collect data Conduct quantitative analysis Write reports Develop and deliver presentations Position Qualifications: Strong quantitative analytical skills Understanding of statistics Excellent oral and written communication Interest in capital (engineering and construction) projects and project systems Strong interpersonal skills, to be able to build and maintain relationships with senior leaders in client organizations Education & Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in a relevant position (eg, analyst, consultant, project manager, engineer) A Master's degree in petroleum engineering, geology, economics, operations research, or allied fields Preferred Qualifications 3 to 5 years of experience in a relevant position (eg, analyst, consultant, project manager, engineer) Proven track record in analyzing risks, practices, and performance of capital projects in the upstream oil and gas industry PhD is desired Background in carbon research/legislation/economics as it relates to the oil and gas industry Exposure working within a consultancy environment Travel Requirements: This position involves up to 25% travel to client locations within North America Applicants should send cover letter, resume, and salary requirement to [Click Here to Email Your Resume].
