Solv has an immediate need for an Energy Engineer/Analyst to provide on-site support to a client in Washington, DC. The Engineer/Analyst will work with team members to perform a wide variety of job duties, including oversight and assistance with:. ASHRAE energy audits;. Commissioning and re/retro-commissioning projects;. Calculating greenhouse gas emissions;. Energy project request for proposal (RFP)/statement of work (SOW) development;. Oversight of energy and water efficiency projects (installation and implementation);. Utility data management, benchmarking, and analysis;. Preparation of energy and sustainability performance reports;. Energy awareness, outreach, and training materials; and. Sustainable facilities management procedures. also include:. Preparing briefings and presentations to clients and stakeholders;. Writing energy project narratives, standard operating procedures, and process descriptions; and. Collaboration with facility management staff, utility personnel, environmental staff, and other stakeholders. Candidates must possess 5 to 10 years of experience in facilities/energy management, where experience performing energy audits/commissioning assessments is preferred. A BS in engineering (eg, mechanical, electrical, energy management, building systems) or a similar energy/sustainability-related field is required, but additional degrees such as an MS degree of a similar field are preferred. Candidates must demonstrate strong analytical, technical writing, and verbal communication skills. Accreditation as a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Energy Manager in Training (EMIT) is required. Related experience with federal government agencies is preferred. Certifications, such as an Engineer Intern (EI), Professional Engineer (PE) license, or professional commissioning certification, are considered a plus.
