We are looking for a thoughtful and strategic engineering leader to lead the Product Development team for our newest and fastest-growing product line: GetWell Loop. GetWell Loop enables clinical care teams to engage with their patient populations before and after hospital admissions by sending the right information at the right time. Our mobile-based application tools enable care teams to reach more patients and proactively intervene before costs and complications escalate. The Product Development team is tasked with ensuring that we have a robust and scalable platform. GetWell Loop is a mobile- and web-based, cloud-hosted application developed in containerized Ruby on Rails and Postgres making use of other services written in Java and other languages, and deployed across multiple regions and countries through Amazon Web Services.. In this role, the Director of Engineering will lead our technical architecture strategy while managing a growing team of 13+ high-performing developers based in Bethesda, MD as well as San Diego and Menlo Park, CA. Our engineering directors play a hands-on role, making direct technical contributions including writing, debugging, reviewing and deploying code. He/she will work collaboratively with Product Managers, UI Designers and Business Analysts as well as frequently interact with customers. The Director serves as a member of the Product Development leadership team and contributes to the formulation and operationalization of GWN's overall technology strategy.. Motivating and developing a high performing engineering team and culture while hiring, onboarding and developing new members of your team. In partnership with product management, managing our product migration strategy while charting out the future roadmap to expand and address gaps in the product portfolio. Help manage the launch of any newly developed or acquired capabilities within this terrain. Contribute to key strategic decisions within the GWN technology business including new product development and corporate development (M&A). Must Haves:. Bachelor's degree. 15+ years professional experience. 10+ years engineering management experience. Experience with SaaS-based commercial products (ideally > $5M in ARR); Specific experience in commercial release and operationalizing and supporting them through the product life cycle. Experience with a diverse portfolio of technology stacks. Master's degree. Experience leading multiple technology teams across a global scale. Data experience.
