The agency is seeking a dependable and highly motivated team player to plan, direct, and organize the agency's financial management operations including financial planning and reporting, general accounting and cash management functions, payroll operations, and Cost Accounting. The incumbent would also be responsible for developing and maintaining an effective system of internal controls over key fiscal processes. Position is responsible for management of Procurement, IT, and Reception Operations.. Minimum Qualifications. Must have knowledge of general accepted accounting principles and budgeting and forecasting techniques as well as cost accounting and ability to complete various step-down cost reports. Knowledge of financial accounting internal control reviews, risk assessment, and testing of key financial processes as required annually under Sarbans's Oxley Act for publicly traded securities and government issued securities. Data processing knowledge of ERP based financial systems and PC based reporting, Payroll and Timekeeping systems is required. Significant experience in budgeting and general accounting operations, cost accounting, internal controls and experience with allied functions such as accounts payable, payroll, materials management, and IT support services is required. Strong management skills with supervisory experience is strongly desired.. Preferred Qualifications. Prior experience with government accounting processes strongly preferred. CPA designation for MBA level of education preferred.. Special Requirements. Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory fingerprint-based background check.
