Responsibilities The Capture Manager, Near Term Opportunity identifies the resources needed to pursue a business opportunity; oversees bid strategies, pricing, teaming, and proposal strategies; and manages the transition from business opportunity to proposal development to award with a focus on Near Term Opportunities. This fast paced multifaceted position requires high energy, the ability to multitask, strong communication/phone skills, strong writing skills and the ability to meet deadlines. Tasks to include: Work multiple opportunities simultaneously Assist in proposal development, including writing Identify potential teaming partners quickly Determine what the potential customer needs to fulfill the requirements of the opportunity Identify government contracting opportunities and participates in the screening process for go/no go decisions Oversee possible opportunities, teaming and partnership, and bid strategies Performing business and funding trend analyses to shape contracting strategy. Monitor competitors in the government sector, identifies gaps in capabilities, and promotes enhancements to ensure competitiveness for government funding. Interact with government clients and/or partners to shape future solicitations. Collaborate with SMEs for awareness of capabilities that may be applied to contracting opportunities Identifies the resources required to pursue a bid, establishes any infrastructures required, processes, and plans necessary, and manages their execution Conduct a competition analysis Assess pricing strategy Participate as an independent proposal evaluator in all major proposals reviews Qualifications The ideal candidate should be experienced with hands-on proposal development and should possess a strong network for potential teaming opportunities. Minimum of five years of experience working capture and proposals Have excellent written and oral communication skills Experience with contract capture and/or contract life cycle management Strong understanding of IDIQs, GWACs and Schedules Must be capable of managing and working multiple opportunities simultaneously Must be able to understand and discuss advanced technological concepts, particularly in the realms of communication and information technology Shipley training highly preferred Education: BA/BS Company Information Headquartered in Tysons Corner, Virginia and founded in 2009, OBXtek is a fast-growing leader in the government contracting field.
