Job Details Requisition Number 19-0029 Post Date 4/1/2019 Title Principal - Saint Ambrose School City Cheverly State MD Description St. Ambrose Catholic School in the Archdiocese of Washington, is seeking a highly qualified principal to serve as a spiritual and effective instructional leader of this thriving school for the 20Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the advancement of the mission of the school and overseeing school operations: implementation of Archdiocesan policies; instructional and programmatic supervision; professional development; recruitment of families; long range planning; facilities management; and community relations.19-20 school year. Requirements The successful candidate will be a practicing Catholic and a certified catechist based on criteria from the Archdiocese (or within three years of hire). A Master's Degree from an accredited institution in Education is required (within three years of hire) and successful instructional and leadership experience. Candidates shall possess a Maryland, Virginia, or District of Columbia educational administration certification at time of hire or within three years from the date of hire. He/she must be collaborative, with additional expertise in standards-based curriculum, assessment, technology integration and community relations. The successful candidate will have demonstrated success in effective use of data for instructional and educational improvement.
