Position Description: Provide architectural consulting to various stakeholders to help modernize the worldwide IT infrastructure that is complex, mission critical, secure, and serves over 100,000 users. Description of Duties: * Define architectural initiatives based on analyses of existing infrastructure and the mission needs that require improvements in IT. * This requires 1) understanding of existing architecture, 2) understanding of technical and organizational dependencies, 3) understanding of cyber security controls and policies, 4) understanding of emerging technologies and best practices. * Communicate these initiatives with various stakeholders; tune based on their feedback, and help support priority based decisions to support IT investment and planning. * When these initiatives are funded, they turn into projects. Guide the project teams to properly scope the projects * Provide leadership in a Governance Board called SETAB- Security & Engineering Technical Advisory Board. SETAB reviews each major project at various control gates in the project life-cycle. For this activity, assemble subject matter experts, review project documentation, meet with project team, compile comments, and develop a report to assist the project team and the senior management. #LI-KH1 VGP Qualifications Required Experience/Skills/Attributes: * Must have IT infrastructure architectural experience across broad range of technologies in enterprise IT infrastructure, and design experience in in some of the specific technologies. * Must be knowledgeable about cyber security controls and their applicability across broad range of technologies. * Analytic and creative capabilities are essential to identify trade-offs across technical and business parameters, and to support decisions across management hierarchy * Strong communication and inter-personal skills are necessary to be able to work at various levels in organization, and with varying personalities. * Requires Bachelor's degree in IT related discipline, 10 years of IT infrastructure engineering experience spanning planning, design, implementation, and operation aspects of the infrastructure with specific emphasis on cyber security. Additional five years of experience in managing projects in IT infrastructure. * Experience in software development is not required. Desired Experience/Skills/Attributes: Master's degree in IT related discipline. Clearance Requirement: SECRET clearance required.
