IBM Watson Health- Associate Partner in Bethesda, Maryland Job Description Position Overview This position is an individual contributor role within the Provider Consulting Team. A consultant in this position has deep subject matter expertise in specific areas of the healthcare industry. Clients view them as trusted advisors with the ability to bring experienced based insights and actionable recommendations for consideration. Responsibilities * Lead large and complex consulting engagements and engage in billable consulting activity * Provide leadership, guidance and subject matter expertise in the development of client ready deliverables * Review and sign off on analytics completed by project team members, review findings with the project team and client, suggest refinements in approach * Design and lead quality assurance activities * Carries a Sales and Revenue target for the practice * Support new client sales opportunities and develop follow-on sales potential at existing clients * Develop project budgets and schedules for large complex projects, manage internal staff, and review work products * Successfully manage project scope and clients expectations, leading to strong client references and follow on engagements * Directly responsible for the client relationship and maintaining client satisfaction * Participates in the development of new service offerings in response to market changes and client needs * Speaks at major conferences as a recognized expert in a specified field. Publishes articles/white papers * Assures IBM Watson Health Consultants demonstrate excellent core consulting skills during engagements * Mentor and train Consulting team members * Supports retention efforts within IBM Watson Health Consulting * Recognizes engagement risks, escalates as appropriate, and mitigates resulting in optimized client satisfaction Required Technical and Professional Expertise * 15+ years progressive healthcare experience with at least 7 year previous consulting firm experience in healthcare strategy, business development or operations * Demonstrated ability to convey complex ideas in an easily understood manner to aid audience through written or verbal communications. Training and experience in facilitation techniques * Demonstrated ability to identify emerging industry issues and trends, relate them to clients needs, and propose appropriate solutions * Demonstrated competence in leading large complex engagements * Highly developed core consulting skills (presentation skills, verbal & writing skills, communications skills) * Strong data visualization skills and the ability to summarize and communicate information clearly and effectively .
