  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time.

    This position has a selective placement factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The selective placement factor is:
    A.) I have the ability to independently perform the most difficult and complex tasks as an expert or have been consulted by other employees in difficult situations performing duties including 1) Analyze work schedules, determines manpower, material requirements and methods to be used; 2) Plans work assignments considering trade(s) or other occupations involved availability of manpower and equipment, deadlines and other work projects for which responsible; 3) Responsible for the overall development, training and licensing of all employees in the Power Generation Section ;4) Manages operations of the Utility Plant(s) and ensures operations are conducted in a safe efficient manner; 5) Responsible for updating, maintaining and enforcing monthly operations maintenance schedules.

    B.) I have the ability to perform the full range of tasks on my own initiative including 1) Plans work assignments considering trade(s) or other occupations involved availability of manpower and equipment, deadlines and other work projects for which responsible; 2) Responsible for the overall development, training and licensing of all employees in the Power Generation Section.

    C.) I have the ability to perform common tasks under general supervision including 1) Analyze work schedules, determines manpower, material requirements and methods to be used; 2) Manages operations of the Utility Plant(s) and ensures operations are conducted in a safe efficient manner; 3) Responsible for updating, maintaining and enforcing monthly operations maintenance schedules.
