    In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.     To qualify for the GS-12 level, applicants must possess at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11. Specialized experience is defined as:Performing editorial guidance to ensure publications are clear, concise, and follow logical format; Preparing manuscript text file for submission to the Visual Information Specialist; Ensuring that transitions are smooth, effective, and make sense; Editing errors and inconsistencies in grammar, word usage, passive voice, punctuation, abbreviations and textual content of supporting graphics in a variety of project formats to include books, monographs, and articles.
