  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified in the IT Field, Level III. Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.
  • Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized Supervisory IT Specialist (Network) experience equivalent to the the NM-04 STRL Pay Band or equivalent GS-Grade Level (GS-13/14) or pay band in the Federal Service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include: (1) Utilizing complex IT principles, methods and practices of network infrastructure technologies, IT industry standards and processes and IT government/DoD/agency laws and regulations to ensure network remains operational and secure; (2) Demonstrated working knowledge of configuration management principles to ensure network infrastructure is properly documented; (3) Coordinating IT project management requirements, including developing plans and schedules, estimating resource requirements, defining milestones and deliverables, monitoring activities, evaluating and reporting on accomplishments, and managing risks in support of assigned IT program; (4) Applying and developing new or experimental theories to research, development, test and evaluation network environment that employs state-of-the-art equipment and techniques; and (5) Coordinating and/or assigning work assignments to subordinates, based on organizational priorities, selective consideration of difficulty and requirements of assignments, and/or capabilities of employees.
