  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    You must meet ALL of the minimum qualifications listed below.
    • Must have 5 years of hands-on experience performing build, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems, cyber defense systems, or network infrastructure. Specialist (GS-14) level must have 10+ years of hands-on experience
    AND
    • Must have Enterprise IT, Security, or Network operations experience OR knowledge of program coding languages such as Python, Powershell, YAML, SQL, etc.
    DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
    • Experience performing blue team (vulnerability testing) or red team (penetration testing).
    • Previous knowledge or experience working with the US Postal Service.
    • Experience with performing code security reviews.
    • SCADA or ICS experience
    • A technical certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, SSCP, Cloud (AWS, Google, etc), MCSE, Security +, Network +, CISA, CISSP, ITIL, ScrumMaster

    The USPS OIG uses a Pay Banding system, which is equivalent to the Federal GS scale. Grade and salary determinations will be made based upon a candidate's education and professional experience.

    This position is being advertised at the Journey Band level, equivalent to a GS-12/13, and Specialist band, equivalent to a GS-14. The salary figures does not include locality pay. If selected at the GS-12 level, career ladder to GS-13 equivalent is at management's discretion.
