  • You may qualify at the GS-12 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement:

    One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service that demonstrates your ability to: (1) apply the laws, regulations, policies and procedures related to sustaining the daily administrative and operations support functions; (2) administer support functions in the areas of correspondence management, real property management, contracts, acquisition and property management to carry out projects in the areas of responsibility; evaluating administrative programs for efficiency and efficacy to ensure compliance with DoD initiatives; applying and inspecting completion of workflow processes.

    Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

    PPP PILOT: The Washington Headquarters Service is currently operating under an approved reengineered Priority Placement Program (PPP) pilot for all positions in its serviced workforce.
