    Applicants must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-11 grade level that is equivalent in difficulty and complexity to work performed.  Specialized experience is experience related to coordinating projects and participating in the shaping of concept, development of strategies, preparing scopes of work and other technical and administrative aspects and phases.

    In addition to the above experience, applicants must also meet the following education to qualify for this position.

    1.  Education

    A.  Completed a four-year course leading to a bachelor’s degree that included or was supplemented by major study in education or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, e.g., history, social sciences, political science, liberal arts, or related fields.

    OR

    B. Have a combination of education and experience -- courses equivalent to a major in education, or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the 4-year course of study described above.

    You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.

    Once the application process is complete, a review of your resume and supporting documentation will occur to determine if you meet the basic qualification requirements.  The occupational questionnaire is designed to measure your experience as it relates to the following competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities and other proficiencies (KSAs) outlined below:

    Knowledge of project management best practices in order to coordinate projects and participate in the shaping of concept, development of strategies, preparing scopes of work and other technical and administrative aspects and phases. Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus as the institution is working towards its overall implementation.

    Knowledge of how to handle multiple deadlines and projects using creativity, initiative, curiosity, and flexibility; pragmatism, patience, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

    Skill in communication, organizational and interpersonal interactions to communicate at all levels of the organization and to work with external organizations to achieve project goals.

    Knowledge of how to operate successfully at the micro and macro level, identifying obstacles and opportunities for individuals, teams, and the division. This includes strong leadership and analytical skills, and the ability to be self-motivated and self-reliant.

    Ability to plan, organize, implement and monitor assignments or projects, manage time, achieve deadlines; yet recognize and be highly responsive to changing priorities and circumstances.

    Knowledge of the Google Suite (docs, slides, sheets).

    Knowledge of educational practices and/or atrocity prevention fields preferred.

    Knowledge of basic museum exhibition practices.

    Knowledge of how to explore new tools and technologies and assess their appropriateness for the project team.

    Knowledge of the purpose and mission of the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, of the various functions and programs of the Museum, and of the purpose of the Levine Institute for Holocaust Education and the role it fulfills in providing the complete Museum experience.

    Knowledge of Federal budgeting and contracting criteria and processes to be able to prepare regular budgets and reports preferred.
