  • Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field Life Cycle Logistics Level III. Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as:) Forecasting workload requirements in order to sustain Depot capability and support Depot capacity analyses; 2) Interpreting and defining long-range implications derived from deviation to logistics management policy and process (e.g., system design modifications impacting supportability confliction with maintenance strategies); 3) Developing technical requirements and criteria for ensuring the timely, accurate, and economical maintenance and support for assigned workload; 4) Providing guidance and direction to Navy, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), and private sector project participants on the implementation of logistics elements (i.e. maintenance planning, manpower, training, technical data, product support, etc.) and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS); and 5) Analyzing the quantity and skill level of personnel required to operate and maintain systems/equipment to enable and sustain Deport maintenance capability.
