Sparks Group and a well-known education institution in DC have partnered together to find an Instructional Designer. We're seeking an individual who will play a key role in developing, creating and supporting the school's online programs. If you are seeking a rewarding position where you can contribute to the success of a prestigious educational leader in the DC area, this role is for you!
Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing active-based learning options
- Assisting in the implementation and ongoing refinement of professional development programs
- Utilizing appropriate approaches to instructional design such as ADDIE or SAM models
- Designing and developing instructional content, including identification of the most appropriate training platforms
- Maintain a high degree of knowledge about instructional design theories
- Developing, revising, maintaining and editing course materials
- Assisting in the preparation of analysis reports, development phase reports, implementation plans, evaluation reports, and revision reports
- Assist with the production of courses by recording and producing video and animation
- Evaluate courses for compliance
Qualifications/Background Profile:
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 2 years of relevant professional experience
- Knowledge of pedagogical method
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organization skills
- Experience with course design software such as Articulate, Storyline, Captivate and Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience with video editing software such as Premiere Pro, Camtasia or Final Cut Pro
- Familiarity with a learning management system such as Blackboard
