ADG CREATIVE, LLC] Company Job Title: Database Administrator (Mid) Clearance: TS/SCI w/ FS Poly Location: Columbia, MD Reports To: Program Manager FLSA Status: Exempt, Full Time, Regular Summary: The Database Administrator (Mid) located in Columbia, MD will permform disaster recovery, performance analysis and tuning, index maintenance, and monitoring of data. The Database Administrator (Mid) administers, maintains, develops and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the database.. . Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain the integrity, security, and availability of database(s) Establish and maintain database user accounts Administer, maintain, and Implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the database(s) Organize and format data for efficient query and storage processes Evaluate requirements and recommends available DBMS products Provide server administration with a variety of database products that include Oracle, SQL Server, and SYBASE Perform disaster recovery, performance analysis and tuning, index maintenance, and monitoring of data Develop policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the database(s) Perform database and software life-cycle activities to ensure highest level of system performance and availability Perform Oracle, SQL Server and SYBASE Database and Application server administration Organize and format data for efficient query and storage processes Perform database and software life-cycle activities to ensure highest level of system performance and availability and compliance with business requirements.. Evaluate and recommend available database management system (DBMS) products Support data modeling activities by way of prototype database implementations Coordinate database architecture changes with Database Engineer (DBE)s Direct the monitoring, administrating, and implementing performance on database systems as well as database performance optimization, developing/changing database indices, redesigning database structure and reloading data into a database Direct the installation of database management systems, databases, tables and views Direct the administration and use of current and emerging database tools, strategies and technologies Design and configure relational database objects. Design, deploy and monitor database servers. Design data distribution and data archiving solutions. Ensure database security, including backups & disaster recovery. Plan and implement application and data provisioning. Transfer database information to integrated mobile devices. Analyze and report on data to help shape business decisions. Produce entity relationship & data flow diagrams, database normalization schemata,logical to physical database maps, and data table parameters. Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.) Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited College or University 4 years of additional DBA experience may be used in lieu of Bachelor's degree 10 years experience as a DBA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. TS/SCI w FS Poly clearance. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to implement, support and manage databases. Proficient in one or more of the leading database management systems, such as, Oracle, SQL Server, and SYBASE.
