NJVC Company Job Title: Enterprise Architect Clearance: Background Check Location: Washington, DC Reports To: Program Manager FLSA Status: Exempt, Full Time, Regular Summary: The Enterprise Architect is responsible for supporting work across the IT Strategic Planning program area. In general, this role will provide strategic oversight to overall design and implementation of computer and information networks, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other data communications networks. Duties and Responsibilities: May research and recommend network and data communications hardware and software.May design network and computer security measures Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning. Maintain and update the policies, procedures and processes for the Enterprise Architecture (EA) and IT Strategic Planning Program.Manage the policies and procedures required to maintain EA standards and control TTB's Enterprise IT Configuration by:Maintaining the Configuration Management Plan, Commercial Product Lifecycle Plan, the Authorized Product List (APL) (ATTACHMENT A) and the COTS Software Library;Maintaining the Enterprise Change Control Board (ECCB) and Architecture Working Group (AWG) Charters which govern how requests for change (RFCs) are managed;Scheduling and Facilitating Architecture Working Group (AWG) meetings for major changes impacting the architecture;Facilitating the ECCB review and approval of minor changes to TTB's IT Software and Hardware configurations;Maintaining a Remote Information Call (RFC) tracking and workflow system and controlling status changes for each RFC; Preparing periodic reports of configuration status, as needed and providing assistance and support of configuration audits;Briefing TTB personnel and contractors on the policies and procedures to assist with adherence to EA Configuration Management (CM) program policies; andWorking with the OCIO government staff, software developers, and operational resources to promote process improvement of the policies and procedures, as needed. Maintain DM Handbook which defines TTB's DM standards;Maintain the IT Strategic Plan (ITSP) and facilitate discussions about OCIO's long-term vision, goals and objectives for implementing technologies that best support TTB's mission.Monitor and report progress of the multi-year, cross-organizational initiatives documented in the IT Strategic Plan by:Overseeing and developing performance measure that address OCIO operational and strategic reporting, analytical, and decision-making needs; andStudying new and emerging technologies to determine applicability to TTB through research and pilots that prove technical feasibility.Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.) Bachelor's Degree or an additional 4 years of experience8 years of professional experience related to enterprise design/architectureTechnical certification in AWS/Azure or related area or Security related certification like CISSP preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
