Responsible for maintaining applicable information systems and hardware/software configurations. Responsibilities System backup/recovery, basic software and library management, cybersecurity standards, operating computer systems in different operating environments, sizing, performance, tuning, hardware/software trouble shooting and resource allocation. Experience with Department of Defense (DoD) Risk Management Framework, Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) and, application of information assurance vulnerability alert (IAVA) and Information assurance vulnerability management (IAVM) program. Continuously monitor, administer and maintain firewall devices in accordance with DHA Enterprise policy. All firewall change requests are to be coordinated with and approved by the IMD Cyber Security Office. Ensure sufficient, concurrent VPN connections to support the mobile workforce, permanently remote teleworkers, and situational teleworkers. Configure the automatic paging software, which monitors the temperature of the Server Room, to notify specific individuals as specified by IMD government management. Provide testing and support for disaster recovery procedures that provide for the resumption of mission critical or business essential functions within the specified period from activation in accordance with the mission assurance category of the system being recovered. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Security clearance required up to top secret. 3 years hands-on technical experience with computer systems, information systems and data communications. Certification: VMware Certified Professional and MCSA or MCITP or MCSE or Red Hat or LINUX+ plus baseline certification as stipulated in DoD 8570.01 and DoD 8570.01-M Special Skills: Capable of providing the appropriate physical and technical protection of the backup and restoration hardware, firmware, configuration information and software. Expertise in developing and executing disaster recovery procedures. Equipped to perform quarterly testing of disaster recovery procedures and provide written summary of the results to IMD government management. Skilled in ensuring all environments; Windows and Solaris, NIPR and SIPR are fully operational, secure, within capacity and maintain redundancy. Trained to provide technical support and recommended technical solutions to the government in support of this initiative.
