(Octo) is supporting an Intelligence Agency program's development of a shared services platform to support Agile-enablement, migration to the cloud, and the streaming and enhancement of national security data. This program is a pioneer at this Agency and a model for modernization of legacy systems. Octo is seeking a Software Tester to join our growing team. This Tester will perform as part of the shared services platform team using Agile methodologies to migrate legacy applications into an enterprise PaaS and will be responsible for the development and execution of test plans to ensure that the system migration does not impact performance. Responsibilities Include: Interact with program stakeholders and engineers to develop test plans, including integration and regression tests Create and maintain test suites using Selenium, Junit, JMeter, or other technologies deemed appropriate for the systems being migrated and the requirements provided by the program office Create and maintain relevant documentation and other work products using Atlassian tools, to include Confluence and Jira Execute tests using TestRail and report the progress and outcome of tests to the team and relevant stakeholders Participate in the team's Agile Scrum process 10 years+ experience with QA activities Experience testing complex software solutions Experience translating business and functional requirements into test cases Experience working with CM and QA tools Experience planning and executing test cycles, including authoring test plans and test schedules, conducting test reviews, and coordinating multiple test efforts Experience compiling and reporting test effort metrics and results Preferred Qualifications: Experience testing applications in AWS or other cloud services Experience using the Atlassian Suite of products to manage test products and execution Experience using TestRail Experience with Jenkins Clearance: Must have TS/SCI w Active CI Poly Location: Chantilly, VA Octo is a growth-oriented firm that provides a unique, differentiated employee culture relative to our Federal market peers.
