ADG CREATIVE, LLC Company Job Title: System Administrator, Sr Clearance: TS/SCI w/ FS Poly Location: Columbia, MD Reports To: Program Manager FLSA Status: Exempt, Full Time, Regular Summary: The System Administrator, Sr located in Columbia, MD provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. The System Administrator, Sr will provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Duties and Responsibilities: Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning Provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process Configure and manage UNIX and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance Support the design of systems, mission architecture and associated hardware Possess a working knowledge and understanding of system administration interdependencies as part of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.) Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. 5 years of additional SA experience may be used in lieu of Bachelor's degree. 15 years experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. TS/SCI w FS Poly clearance. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to obtain A , Network , or Security certifications/training Ability to obtain MCSA, MCSE, RHCSA, RHCE certifications/training Skilled at working with ticketing systems to track work (ex. JIRA, SYSAID, Spiceworks) Skilled at writing SOPs and end-user documentation (ex. Confluence, WIKI) Ability to lead a technical team Strong skills with Linux, Mac, and Windows Operating Systems Scripting skills in one or more languages (Perl, Python, Bash, VB, etc.) Scripting/programing certifications/training (JAVA, JavaScript, .NET, Perl, Python, Ruby, etc.) Possess advanced Hardware/Software installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting skills Possess good communication & documentation skills for technical instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs) Possess a working knowledge and understanding of system administration interdependencies as part of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Knowledge of Government policy & procedures Knowledge of operating and maintaining a SCIF Able to work after-hours, on-call, or as directed by the Leadership Able to work in high demand, stressful, & difficult situations Able to adapt to ever changing work environments, deadlines, & program changes Able to be a self-starter, motivated, self-sufficient and able to work with team members (team oriented) Physical Demands:(The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
