About This Career Opportunity

Utilizing our Vision, Mission and Core Values as a guide, the Consumer Loan Officer is responsible for following established policies and procedures when decisioning various consumer and auto loan applications.  Researches and gathers background information to analyze loan applicant’s credit worthiness.  Responsible for approving or denying loan applications based on the analysis.  Responds to questions and/or provides information upon request from both internal and external members. Supports all loan origination channels members in understanding and utilizing Credit Union loan products and services.

Position Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (GED).  Minimum of two years of experience in a lending department, branch office, credit union or financial institution. Experience in loan interviewing preferred.  Experience with Regulation B and Regulation Z. Experience interpreting credit reports and explaining interest rates. Experience with open- end and closed –end loans. Professional, well-developed interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills required.  Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Professional.  Ability to function in a financial institution branch environment and utilize standard office equipment including but not limited to: 10 key calculator, fax, copier, telephone, etc.  Must have own car, a valid driver's license and a clean driving record in order to get to vendor visits as required. Intermediate mathematical skills involving decimals, percentages and, fractions, etc. required.
