Position Preview A&D Specification Sales Manager - Washington DC Area The candidate for this position will oversee, develop and manage all aspects of our business within their territory. The correct candidate will be responsible to deliver sales growth, manage and train existing partners, communicate effectively to the A&D industry, and deliver accurate sales Essential Duties and Responsibilities Direct Sales to A&D Community Responsible to prospect new clientele and set meetings with Architecture / Design firms Diligent and rapid responses and follow up on all in bound inquiries Organized project management on projects of all sizes Deliver CEU presentations to forum of architects to spur new and recurring business Work with the in-house design team to act as lighting consultant on limited scope projects Exceed customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction Indirect Sales to A&D Community Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with the local partners, key accounts, and local distribution channels within your territory Manage and train existing showrooms, representatives, and strategic partners within your territory on our products Work with management to identify, onboard and train new partners without disrupting the existing Intervene in occasional territory disputes to alleviate issues between partners Competencies. Product & Industry Knowledge Candidate should have experience in lighting and local knowledge of the market structure and key Develops strategies to achieve or exceed goals; understands the organization's strengths & weaknesses; analyzes market Candidate focuses on sales first, ignores distractions, and can deliver on the targets regardless of market conditions, shifts in landscape Problem Solving Design Sensibility - the candidate understands high-end design products, and has a passion for aesthetics. The candidate presents him or herself in a way that appropriately aligns with this demographic Position Qualifications Bachelor Degree or proven equivalent 3 years' experience in the lighting industry in a Sales or Design role To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
