I have 1 year of specialized experience performing IT related tasks that are comparable to the GS-12 level in the Federal service, such as developing and maintaining IT technical data base and data mining by establishing a system's basic structure, defining essential design features and providing an overall framework; implementing information cybersecurity compliance and risk management procedures and safeguards; developing and providing guidance on business systems policies and strategies impacting an organization, and administrative information systems; and providing guidance for the development and governance of an IT strategy design, development and cybersecurity for administrative systems for a program.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
