Job Summary/Company:

Do you want to work with a team that will be supporting a mission with operational impact? We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to provide the full spectrum LAN support including documentation, installation, implementation, testing, monitoring and tuning. You'll be working as a member of an agile multi-disciplined team supporting a Special Operations technical development project in the cyber domain. Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a complex range of computer network components and systems
  • Plan and coordinate major information technology initiatives
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend new computer network equipment and technologies
  • Utilize monitoring, performance analysis, network management, software, and hardware equipment to troubleshoot and isolate problems, gauge network performance, and trace data and protocol activity
  • Devise solutions to complex operational problems within the capacity and operational limitation of installed equipment
  • Develop and execute contingency plans for network software and hardware failures including isolated and major outages
  • Provide internal consulting, technical guidance, and information to application developers, computer operations, workstation support, government leadership, and external partners
  • Resolve cross-team issues, and communicate changes with other network teams

Qualifications/Background Profile:
  • Position requires an active Top-Secret clearance and SCI eligibility
  • Position requires a US Citizenship
  • Position requires a BS in computer science or related fields
  • Position requires a CompTIA Security+ certification or CISSP certification
  • Position requires full technical knowledge of all phases of network operations
  • Position requires experience in network analysis and design
  • Position requires experience with multiple operating systems including UNIX, Linux, or Cisco IOS
  • Position prefers a master's degree in computer science or related fields
  • Position prefers understanding of basic underpinnings of cryptographic technologies, authentication, and authorization
  • Position prefers knowledge of machine learning and data mining
