Cinteot is looking for a qualified Data Software Engineer to join our team in McLean VA. The selected candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's DOS Consular Systems Modernization (CSM) Program, for the Bureau of Consular Affairs (CA). This initiative is intended to modernize and consolidate the operational environment under a common technology framework in order to better support the services provided to CA's customers. As part of the modernization program, the candidate will be responsible forsupporting the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements definitionand prototyping, software design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. Roles and Responsibilities:Provide production and operational support, as needed, to ensure deployed software meetsfunctional and non-functional requirementsSupport software testing activities, including IV&V, and provide timely software defectresolutionsDevelop automated unit and integration tests that can be incorporated into CI/CD pipelineDevelop software solutions to support ETL activities between data stores (TransactionalDatabase, Data Warehouse, Data Mart, etc.)Develop software solutions for data storage, including persistence of structured andunstructured dataDevelop software solutions using batch processing and streaming data strategiesImplement software solutions that support data ingest, data extraction, data transformation,data loading, data routing, and system mediation in a SAFE Agile environmentDefine the software design using a model-based engineering strategy (UML)Design software using industry standard design patterns and best practices to improvemaintainability, flexibility, performance, security, and availabilityWork with the system engineering team to understand customer business needs andprioritiesDevelop prototypes to support product and/or technology evaluationsDefine software requirements, both functional and non-functional, as high level epics,features and user stories to support SAFe Agile methodology Basic Qualifications:Active Secret security clearanceBachelor's degree and at least 8 years' experienceExcellent communication skills, both verbally and in writingExperience developing ETL solutions using Structure Query Language (SQL)Experience in developing data storage solutions for unstructured data (MongoDB, ApacheCassandra, Azure Cosmos DB, AWS Dynamo DB, etc.)Experience developing data storage solutions for structured data (Oracle, PostgreSQL,MySQL, etc.)Experience in developing data solutions supporting data ingest for batch and streamprocessing (Apache Spark, Apache Nifi, etc.)Experience supporting software development activities for software projects operating withina SAFe Agile environmentExperience supporting software development activities for software projects specializing indevelopment of data ingest, ETL, routing, and system mediation solutionsExperience in software development and maintenance projects with involvement inrequirements management, technical design/development, and deployment steps within SDLC This position requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen. Must possess an active Secret security clearance in order to qualify.
