SUMMARY The Vice President, Marketing will facilitate strategic and tactical marketing initiatives, working closely with Marketing, Investment Management, Wealth Management, Operations and Compliance teams to ensure the efficient, effective and successful execution of key elements of the firm's marketing plan, in support of strengthening the firm's brand and achieving profitable growth. The Vice President, Marketing must be a resourceful, highly motivated, self-starter who possesses strong marketing, project management and organizational skills to operate effectively in a deadline-driven environment. This position reports directly to the Chair of the Marketing Committee and will interact with Head of Marketing (contractor) who will manage, coach and mentor the Vice President, Marketing. This position will be based in one of our six offices (Baltimore, Birmingham, Cincinnati, New York, Philadelphia and San Francisco). The Vice President, Marketing will work closely and collaboratively with internal stakeholders across all six offices coast-to-coast. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Serve as a leader within the broader group, sharing industry trends, competitive analysis and best practices. Manage and execute key elements of the marketing plan. Work effectively across offices and functions to support growth initiatives. Coordinate the management of thought leadership pieces, such as white papers-leveraging outsourced resources, as well as assisting in the content development. Accelerate the firm's online capabilities, with particular focus on optimizing the client experience and enhancing the development of high-impact content (eg, videos, podcasts, social media, etc.). Create and implement innovative and impactful marketing collateral and presentations. Execute high quality creative solutions in a timely manner, ensuring fidelity to the brand. Serve as a primary contact for internal requests, clarifying and translating needs, ensuring alignment with defined plans and programs. Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to internal stakeholders, including project status and potential issues. Serve as an internal champion for the firm's value proposition and ensure consistent messaging. Serve as primary owner of Marketing processes, procedures, documentation and continual improvement. Coordinate regular status calls between the Marketing team and key stakeholders to ensure progress against objective. Special projects and other duties as needed QUALIFICATIONS BA or BS degree in related field required. 5 years' of marketing experience and financial services industry experience required. Project management experience, proficient in Microsoft Office suite Strong marketing and analytical skills Self-managing-an "Owner" of role, responsibility and objectives Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and switch focus quickly Attention to detail Team-oriented, collaborative and client-centric Effective communication style, both written and verbal Creative problem-solving skills SYSTEMS AND TECHNOLOGY Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel Proficient in Adobe Acrobat (PDF editing and manipulation) Proficient in Google Analytics and social media, including LinkedIn and Twitter Familiar with CRM (eg, Salesforce) and campaign management tools Familiar with, or interest in learning, creative software applications, such as Adobe Illustrator Interest in working with ever-evolving marketing technology tools, such as outbound marketing automation (eg Wishpond)
