JOB TITLE: Sales Consultant and Trainer About Respectful Ways, a Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Curriculum Respectful Ways (RW) offers online, interactive social-emotional learning programs for school counselors and educators to teach social skills and emotional intelligence to PreK-12 students. We focus on building character through project-based activities, original hip hop music & poetry, personal reflection, and engaging classroom creativity based on the four pillars of Compassion, Perseverance, Respect and Responsibility. Job Brief - Sales Consultant and Trainer: We are looking for training and business development contractors to open new markets in the education channel (public, private, charter schools and after school programs for grades PreK-12) across the country. Your role is two-fold: 1) You will be seeking new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers in your assigned regions, and 2) training and renewing contracts with existing schools who've already adopted the program. It is helpful to have previous experience in one of the following areas: Education sales (note: we respect all non-compete clauses) School Administration, preferably in a Student Support Services, Academic Instruction, or purchasing function As a teacher, social worker, or school counselor Or a Sales background or Account Management position in smaller companies You will use your experience in the industry and your communication skills to cultivate strong relationships with customers; including first contact, closing the deal, and after-sales support. Responsibilities: Develop leads through networking, on-line research, and by attending locally-based conventions where key decision makers will be present Contact potential clients through cold calls, emails, and connections Identify client needs through discovery and suggest appropriate RW products/services Lead and facilitate large and small group presentations, workshops, and trainings Provide industry updates and information to clients to build long-term trusting relationships Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market by leveraging successes of current customers Set up meetings or calls between prospective clients and Sales VP/Founder Track and record customer data using Excel and CMR programs (nutshell.com) Stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans Stay up-to-date with industry trends Requirements: Approximately 5 years' experience in education and/or sales industry Passion for the social and emotional success of today's youth Self-motivated and results-driven Financial flexibility (sales in the education industry are cyclical) Excellent communication and negotiation skills Comfortable facilitating and presenting workshops to stakeholders Benefits: As a contractor, earn 100% commission equaling 30% of all sales Recurring revenues add residual income by school's renewing licensed products year after year Earn up to 50% of all training fees for workshops you co-lead or lead Home office with limited travel Make your own hours Significant financial growth potential with larger school district sales Why Social Emotional Learning (SEL): Possessing social skills and emotional intelligence is essential for college and career readiness.
