Maintain strategic client relationships. Serves as a technical lead. Responsible for business development and ongoing sales. Seek strategic business opportunities. Supervise and provide career development opportunities to junior associates. Position responsibilities: Contribute to the company's growth strategy, thought leadership, hiring decisions and the development of company policies Lead accounts, manage multiple projects and play a specialized technical role on project teams Create and unify diverse teams to implement projects, prepare proposals and pursue business development leads Instinctively identify technically complex, abstract issues and strategically assess various solutions based on acquired analytical and innovative skills Utilize a creative and collaborative management style with a hands-on approach to project management, teaming up with all levels of the organization Establish best practices, templates, policies, tools and partnerships for effective project management Ensure the adaptation and integration of emerging knowledge and innovative solutions within project activities Manage and meet client expectations and manage effective client communication. Anticipate problems and ensure project teams' delivery of timely and valuable solutions. Seek client feedback and provide project teams with on-going positive and constructive performance feedback Create and maintain significant, long-term client networks/account relationships and subcontractor/consultant partnerships Comply with and educate others on the proposal and contracts review policy. Oversee entire project compliance. Possess excellent leadership and talent management skills: ability to manage, mentor, motivate and inspire staff and colleagues Comply with the project accounting and financial requirements. Identify and implement ways to maximize project profits. Direct the processing of timely invoices and ensure payment is in accordance with contract terms. Meet utilization, and job profitability targets. Motivate and enable associates to succeed by providing clear direction, mentoring, coaching and professional development opportunities Perform other related duties as assigned Bachelor degree in engineering, science or related field, with a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in the energy or related sector managing donor funded projects or working for international development organizations such as USAID, World Bank, IDB, or other international funding organizations. Demonstrated ability to lead by influence and direct authority across teams worldwide. Thrives when encountered with a challenge. Seeks to excel in technical, conceptual, analytical, consulting, and team and account management skills. Highly skilled in conveying and interpreting complex messages/information in a clear and persuasive manner, confidently presenting conclusions, and improving others' understandings. Actively questions and listens in order to achieve common understanding of complex issues. Recognized as an effective, attentive listener. Adept with managing and collaborating with a wide variety of personalities, cultural backgrounds, nationalities, varying technical expertise and of different ranks. Consistently demonstrates and is an exemplar of integrity and high-level work ethic. Excellent oral and written communication skills and proven ability to interact with a diverse and cross-cultural workforce and client population, to include reading, listening, analysis, and interpretation of written and spoken processes, instructions, reports and regulations. Ability to develop clear goals that are aligned with strategy; identify priority activities and assignments and adjust priorities as required Demonstrate professional competence, is conscientious and efficient in meeting commitments and deadlines and achieving quality results Proven ability to create an environment that fosters learning, growth, risk-taking, and innovation Advanced degree such as an MBA, MA or MSc preferred.
