PCTEL - Germantown, Maryland location, is seeking an experienced System Test Engineer to test and validate product and system performance against requirements prior to commercial release. We offer generous benefits and competitive base pay. Selected candidate will perform the following: Perform product validation from a customer perspective for new products and features. Develop test strategies, requirements, plans, procedures and test cases for feature validation. Execute test cases, including customer applications when available, in labs and/or at local and remote field sites, and records results. Write defect reports and enter into defect tracking system as necessary as well as verify fixes. Contribute domain knowledge and experience to enhance product functionality, usability and quality. Support PCTEL's product development team by providing customer-centric feedback concerning the features and performance of PCTEL's products. Works with Technical Support and directly with customer to investigate customer issues and integration through analysis and experience. Work effectively as a team member with Engineering, Technical Support, and Quality departments The position requires the following: Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with coursework in wireless communications theory. 5-8 years of work experience Intermediate experience with the following: - LTE, TD-LTE, CDMA, and W-CDMA networks - Using wireless network data collection equipment such as InfoVista TEMS Investigation, Keysight Nemo Outdoor, Huawei Genex Probe, Accuver XCAL - Using post-processing tools such as Actix, WindCatcher, Gladiator, Accuver XCAP and RF optimization - Using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint - Customer-facing situations and presentations Intermediate skills in the following: - Problem identification, investigation and issue resolution. - Interacting cross functionally with various departments especially Product Management, Engineering and Technical Support Departments.
