FOR THE GS-14 LEVEL: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-13 level) that may have been obtained in the private or public (local, county, state, Federal) sectors which demonstrates:
-
Handling multiple projects simultaneously, effectively prioritizing work to meet demanding time constraints and quality criteria, and being accountable to senior management for this work.
Studying and learning key statutes and regulations that form the basis of an organization mission, and developing expertise in applying legal interpretations to program questions.
Preparing complex written reports, correspondence, presentations, briefing papers, technical documents and other communications that present facts and recommendations in a clear, concise and logical manner.
Providing technical advice on complex programs to industry leaders, State Agencies, and colleagues at all levels so that problems can be resolved.
Dealing with regulatory responsibilities involving situations that are often emotional or controversial in nature, such as financial, staffing, and other resource limitations and priorities that impact present, anticipated, and unexpected program capabilities.
Developing and managing budgets for the branch level.
Managing and leading a team, developing position descriptions, conducting performance reviews, providing ongoing coaching to staff, facilitating meetings, communicating and reporting out, and developing staff's skills.;
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

- This position is eligible for telework within the local commuting area of the duty location of the position. Employee participation is at the discretion of the supervisor.
